And the Winner of the Super List Building System is….

August 12th, 2008

Note: Make sure you read the whole blog post for an important announcement at the end…

Wow talk about a tough choice? When I launched this contest I knew it would hard picking the winners but I really had no idea quite how difficult it would be.

I just wish I had 30 sets to give away and not just 3!

Before I reveal who’s won the Super List Building System I first want to explain how I reached my decision.

As I explained in the video, I was looking for people to convince me that they’re ready to take action with my proven system.

The worst thing in the world would be for me to give this to someone who would just leave it gathering dust on a shelf. Teaching people is what I love and so it was very important to me that this course should go to someone who I felt confident would actually put this into good use.

I really believe that the Super List Building System is by far the best product I’ve ever released and the most valuable too.

And for this reason I want those most likely to take action to have this incredible opportunity.

Why? Because as good as this course is it won’t make one tiny drop of difference to anyone’s life unless people actually watch the DVDs and put the learning points into action!

Let me explain why this is so crucial…

Just over one year ago I was a struggling marketer spending far more money than I made. But then in just 56 days in the IM niche I was able to quit my day job and after 161 days I enjoyed my first $20,000 month.

Was it easy? No way! Was it worth every drop of sweat? You bet it was…

Here at Lee-McIntyre.com towers I’m always asked HOW I managed to build my business so fast. I’m asked ‘why did you enjoy so much massive success when others around you find it so hard?’

The answer is simple.

I took action by creating products, driving traffic, and building my list! I got out there and just got stuck in which is why I’m always encouraging others to do the same.

Who cares if you try something and it doesn’t work? You simply learn from your mistakes and keep on trying and now you’re one step closer to your goal.

When I released Auction Profits Unleashed one year ago I had zero subscribers, contacts, or products in the IM niche. Yet fast forward just two weeks and with a new list of just 603 I was able to finish 3rd in a massive JV launch contest

(I even pummelled people with lists of 50,000 or more).

Would this have happened if I had just sat around reading ebooks instead of actually taking massive action? Of Course not!

By taking action and just diving in head first I learnt more in one month than I could have learnt in one year. And in the Super List Building System I spent 8 hours carefully explaining what I learnt about building an online business from scratch….and how you can do the same too. .

You see, I don’t want to get myself into trouble but most of what you hear about list building is just plain wrong. Despite what many of the ‘gurus’ will have you believe it’s not the size of your list that counts.

What really matters is the income you can generate from that list.

Who cares if someone has a list of 80,000+ if the marketer in question sends nothing but promotion after promotion and subsequently has less than 200 people clicking his links and opening his emails (I’ve seen it happen).

Here’s the thing…

If your goal is to build a massive list of 100,000 then this is NOT the course for you. There are plenty of other guides out there filled with fluff and hype that will ’show’ you how to do that.

However, if your goal is to build a responsive list FAST that generates oodles of cash then this IS the course for you.

I laugh when I hear wannabe marketers brag about their 30k list when they’re still scratching around trying to make even a part time living online.

The goal is not to collect a massive group of disinterested prospects. The goal is to build a list that generates CASH and in the Super List Building System I show you how to do just that.

Here’s a fraction of the kind of content I share…

Step #1: Sell a Low Price/High Value product.

If you went to your local pub and ordered a burger and juice and they served you a steak and beer….would you eat there again? Well I’d be be eating there everyday for a week that’s for sure!

(In the Super List Building System I show you how to apply this principle to your online marketing and have people begging you to release more products)

Step #2: Recruit JV partners.

As a beginner I was able to effortlessly recruit more than 12 JV partners who had a total list size of more than 200,000. It sounds hard but it really wasn’t.

The key is to ‘know your audience’ and to find the hot buttons that will make anyone want to promote for you at any time.

(Have you ever heard the saying ‘everyone has their price?’ I’ll show you how to apply this to your online business and make oodles of cash too!)

Step #3: Build relationships with your subscribers.

If a TV channel just showed adverts 24/7 and had no programming of any value, what do you think would happen to their viewing figures? It’s fair to say that they wouldn’t be very high.

Most people watch TV for the programming and put up with the ads so they can get to the good stuff. If you get the balance wrong and just show adverts then it’s bye bye TV station don’t you think?

(I’ll show you how to balance your emails between content and free information so that you can keep your subscribers tuned in and RED HOT for every offer that you send)

And much more too of course…

Do you still want to know how I was able to quit my day job in less than 56 days? Well I’ve just told you the outline of the EXACT system I followed..

Which takes me back to the point I was making…

I’m not going to tell you that you’ll be able to use my system to create a full time income with no work. If that’s what you’re looking for then isn’t the product for you.

This will cost me some sales for sure but the reality is that implementing this system is going to involve a lot of work. The good news though is that if you’re prepared to do this the rewards are incredible!!

And this is the exact reason why when awarding this prize I was looking for someone who I believed would be prepared to take massive action.

Here are my three winners…

(drum roll please…)

=>> Sam Winport

=>> Alan Petersen

=>> FH Harris

The winners are asked to submit a support ticket with their postal details and we’ll get these sent out today.

And if you didn’t win I want to thank you for your efforts. Choosing was double hard and there were some brilliant entries!

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

But don’t despair as I’m going to break a few rules and give everyone a chance to grab a limited edition release.

The Super List Building System will officially launch in a few weeks time but I’ve decided to go crazy and release just a few copies before all my JV partners come on board next month.

Tomorrow Wednesday 13th August at 11am EST I’ll be releasing a VERY small number of the Super List Building System boxsets for a HEAVILY reduced price.

Only 23 boxsets are available for sale and I’m expecting these to sell out fast so you’ll have to be quick. If you miss out on one of these limited edition sets then don’t panic as I’ll be releasing this fully in September at the normal launch price.

This crazy opportunity is only available to 23 lucky subscribers on a first come first served basis and there can be no exceptions. Make sure you keep an eye on your inbox and this blog as I’d hate for you to miss out on this one!

Thanks again for all the entries in the contest and now I can’t wait to send the prizes to the three luck winners! :)

Work Less Achieve More?

August 5th, 2008

I know it’s a dangerously overused cliché but it really is the case that the more action you take the more money you make.

Even if your actions lead to a failure of some sort this is still a positive for your online business as long as you learn from what went wrong and understand how to improve things in your future marketing.

But I’m not saying anything new here am I?

Everywhere you turn in this industry people relentlessly bang the ‘take more action’ drum, and I’ll hold my hand up and say that I found this more than a little irritating when I was struggling beginner.

For a long time I tool the ‘take action’ advice at face value and filled my working hours with as much marketing as I could possibly cram in. Whenever I had any sort of spare moment I’d rush to my PC and start working like a machine.

Recently however I’ve discovered that by working less I’ve been able to achieve more and I want to share why…

I don’t understand the psychology of it, but when I sit down to complete my day’s work if I feel I have 12 hours to achieve everything it always seems to take the full 12 hours.

The workload expands to fill the time available, and subconsciously I end up postponing the day’s difficult tasks until the end of the allotted 12 hours. And this happens every day unless I’m extremely discipline with myself.

Let me share something that happened last week…

I’m currently living with a teacher friend named Mark, and he was breaking up for the school holidays. He wanted to go for some after work drinks with colleagues, and being the nice guy that I am I offered to drive him to school so he didn’t have to drink Coke all night.

This was a bit of a pain as I was planning to go out for drinks with friends in Preston at 6:30 and I had a LOT of work to get done. I wasn’t worried though as I knew that if I worked hard I could just about squeeze everything in.

And then disaster struck!

I’d given Mark a lift to school while still in a very sleepy daze and when I got home I noticed I’d forgotten my house key. Oh no!

And it gets worse too…

I had no petrol in my car, and certainly not enough to drive to Mark’s school in Lancaster to borrow his key (plus it was a good 90 minute drive there and back).

And to make a bad situation truly terrible I then realised I’d left my wallet and phone in the house too. So now I was stuck outside my house with no wallet, no mobile, no keys, and no petrol. To say I was kicking myself was an understatement.

I’m a pretty easy going sort of guy but there was literally steam coming out of my ears at this point.

Could it get any worse? Yep!

Because I’d driven Mark to school SO early I’d just jumped in the car without getting properly dressed. So now I realised that I was wearing the most hilarious combination of clothes possible that included a very scruffy shirt, Bermuda shorts, and some formal dress shoes that were the first thing that came to hand when I jumped into the car.

I’m just grateful no one had a camera!

Anyway, to cut a long story short I had to walk to the nearest bank looking like Id just escaped from some sort of low security institution for the sanity challenged and beg them to let me withdraw some money. Since I looked like a homeless crazy person this was quite a task!

Then I had to walk back home, get some petrol, and drive to Lancaster to collect Mark’s key. Except that when I got to his school I realised he’d taken his class to Mass and wouldn’t be back until Midday.

By this stage there was no anger left and I was just feeling more than a little sorry for myself. I then had to wait in the school car park for two hours while people pointed and speculated how crazy I must be to dress in such a way (I should also point out that my hair also gave the impression I had been electrocuted).

Eventually I got back into my house at 2pm which was a full SEVEN HOURS after I’d done my good deed for the day by giving Mark a lift to work. This meant I now had just four hours to get all my work done if I was to go out in the evening.

Needless to say the fact that I’d budgeted 11 hours for this task, and now found myself with only fours house available, left me feeling as though I would have to cancel my evening plans.

How wrong I was….

I was an absolute machine and a complete model of productivity. I was in the zone and just blazing through my work at record speed. All distractions were boycotted and I even managed not to check the latest Manchester United news.

Simply by having such an incredibly tight deadline I found myself able to reach new levels of productivity that meant I worked four times faster. I got all of my work done with twenty minutes to spare and then enjoyed a fantastic evening rolling from pub to pub (though if I’m honest I don’t remember it all).

Here’s my point…

The more action you take the more money you WILL make. But the amount of action you take is NOT directly proportionate to the amount of time you sit at your computer,

If you set yourself tight daily deadlines which you stick to rigidly, and if you can maintain the discipline to block out all distractions, you’ll find yourself able to work less and achieve more.

Give it a try. Starting tomorrow put an alarm clock on your desk and promise yourself you WILL stop work for the day once your allocated time expires. You’ll be amazed at the impact this little change will make on your productivity levels.

This is a valuable lesson I learned from this hectic day. Another lesson I learnt is always check your pocket for your keys before leaving the house!

Introducing My Brand New Internet Marketing Office

July 27th, 2008

If you’ve been reading this blog for a while you’ll probably be aware that for a long time I’ve been planning to setup a new office.

Well I’m pleased to report that I’ve finally taken the plunge and I’ve just moved in!

I’ve taken a few quick snaps so you can see the brand new Lee-McIntyre.com towers.  Be aware though that I’ve only just moved in so the place is a bit of a mess!

Here you can see the work station where I plan to do the majority of my work. I’m also buying a second monitor today and I’m excited to see if this allows me to work any faster.

This is the view of the whole office from the door. The table at the front is going to be occupied my new affiliate manager, just as soon as I hire them!

This is the view of the office from my chair. Note the big bundle of wires on the desk already…does anyone else find it impossible to stop wires from getting all tangled up?!

Here you can see my new wireless scanner and printer. If anyone can figure out how to work the thing please let me know!

The view from my window :)

The door to the left is the entrance to my office…

And that’s pretty much it!

I’m pretty sure that having a quiet and dedicated place to work will lead to a huge jump in productivity, and I can’t wait to get stuck in.

Please let me know what you thought of the tour in the comments below…

Why I’m Not Promoting Traffic Secrets 2…(No Seriously!)

July 15th, 2008

This isn’t some lame blog post where I say that I’m NOT promoting Traffic Secrets only to then reveal that I am actually promoting it after all.

I’m really not promoting this course and I don’t care if people thing I’m crazy.

Here are some things to consider…

1) I have a pretty rabid and responsive set of subscribers and if I promoted this course I know I’d be looking to pocket several thousand dollars

2) I could send one email and earn more than what I made in a WHOLE month when I was a teacher

3) I could get some marketing kudos for doing so and leverage this to grab more joint ventures in the future

So why the heck am I not promoting when there are so many advantages to doing so?

Well if you’re a member at Standing Start Profits you’ll know that my business philosophy isn’t to look after MY interests. My goal is to look after the interests of my subscribers instead.

I’ve demonstrated time and time again that if I always put the interests of my members ahead of my own then I’ll end up increasing my income as the goodwill generated comes back in spades.

If your primary focus is looking after your own interests you can of course make some cash. But if you put the interests of your subscribers ahead of your own then you WILL make more money in the long term. I guarantee it.

So why don’t I think it’s in the interests of my subscribers for me to promote this course?

1) Every man and his dog is promoting so the last thing my members need or want is one more email from me

2) I’ll be honest and say the course just doesn’t excite me and I won’t be buying it (I’m sure it’s good but I found the build up videos boring and a bit hype filled to be perfectly honest)

3) I haven’t personally reviewed the content (I’m sure it’s great but I don’t want to put my name to something I haven’t personally used )

In summary I’m sure Traffic Secrets is a fantastic course that’s packed full of value. But it just doesn’t excite me so I won’t be promoting it.

Yes I could make a lot of quick cash by doing so, but I’d rather look after the interests of my subscribers today and take a long term view, even if that costs me money in the short term.

Whatever market you’re involved in I suggest that you also always put the interests of your subscribers ahead of your own and the money will eventually flow faster than you thought possible.

Do You Twitter?

July 11th, 2008

I have to admit that for a long time I’ve been wondering why there’s been so much fuss about Twitter. I’ve tried to use it a couple of times when I had a spare few minutes, but I found the system confusing and disorientating.

If you dive into Twitter for the first time it’s easy to get a bit confused, and to wonder what the heck is going on.

That’s exactly what happened to me, but now having spent a bit of time getting used to the system I’m really starting to like what I see.

For those who don’t know, Twitter is basically a micro blogging tool. Every day you can make very short blog posts called ‘Tweets’, and those who are ‘following’ you get to read these.

Also you get to read the tweets of those you’re following too.

So what’s all the fuss about? Well effective marketing is all about communication and any tool that allows you to reconnect with your audience must be worth exploring.

From my experience people on Twitter don’t just blog in isolation. It’s actually a complicted web of personal communication that serves to build relationships on all sorts of levels.

I’m currently following a couple of people I’ve worked with in the past, and just reading their daily ‘tweets’ makes me feel that I know them more, which can only be a good thing for them when they ask for their next joint venture!

The system has the potential to be very distracting, but it’s perfectly possible to make a contribution while only dipping in a few times per day, for a total time of 10 minutes of less.

I highly recommend you signup today and have a look.

And when you do don’t forget to follow me at the link below.

The Problem With Getting Sick When You Run Your Own Business

July 9th, 2008

I have to apologise for the lack of posts over the past week. I’ve actually been pretty unwell on and off for two weeks now, but finally think I have it beat.

I had what I would call a bad case of the flu, yet what some girls who I know would call ‘man flu’!

Either way it wasn’t pretty, and it’s even worse knowing that you’re stuck in bed when you have a business empire to nurture.

Even though I’ve been unable to do much over the last two weeks, and even though the work has subsequently piled up, it’s been FANTASTIC for my business.

For many months now I’ve been telling people they need to have systems in their business. I’ve been telling people they need to create scale and leverage by making sure the whole business isn’t always dependent on them.

Sadly it seems I haven’t been the best at taking my own advice, though that’s all about to change.

When I was in bed feeling sorry for myself I wondered what would happen if I was unable to work for six months of longer.

I have systems in place to drive daily traffic and so sales would continue to be made. But is that enough?

New products wouldn’t be created, research wouldn’t be conducted, JVs wouldn’t be struck, and so the business would lose a little momentum each and every day.

Even though I have lots of systems in place enabling me to drive traffic daily, this isn’t enough to deal with what would happen if I ever had to remove myself from the business.

Here’s the question I’ve been asking myself over the last few days…

“Do I have a business or do I have a job?”

Well if I owned a business all aspects of our work should be able to function without me. Yes I might add value to our operations, but the function of the business shouldn’t be wholly dependent on me.

Sadly this isn’t the case, and if I was unable to work tomorrow I wouldn’t have the systems in place to allow for the business to continue to function and it would die a slow and painful death.

I don’t feel too bad about this though since 99.9% of the Internet businesses out there are exactly the same. But since when should any of us ever be happy with achieving the norm?

I have a long standing goal for my business which I haven’t shared with anyone before.

By the end of 2008 I want the business to be making a NET PROFIT each month of $40,000 or more. And I want this to happen day in, day out, even if I’m sat on a beach for three months or longer.

My recent illness has given me a slap and made me realise that this won’t happen unless I course correct. Yes I’ll probably hit $40,000 per month clear profit if I keep pushing hard, but I certainly won’t achieve my goal of achieving huge profits without my daily input.

So what am I going to do about it?

I’ve spent several days documenting everything that I do in my business. I made a list of all the tasks that must be completed in order for the business to function and then I broke them down into step by step processes.

The aim is for every function in the business to become a system that anyone can quickly learn and execute.

I then calculated what tasks I need to accomplish in order to grow the business so that I hit my year end target, and then I broke these down into a series of systems and processes.

As well as creating these systems I’ve also embarked on an ambitious recruitment drive too.

There’s only so much that I can do by myself, which is why creating systems and then reinvesting my profits in recruitment is essential if I’m going to scale up quickly.

I’ve hired a;

a) Full time executive assistant based in the USA

She is going to be my new helpdesk operative, will be producing daily management reports, and answering incoming phone calls, and generally keeping the good ship Lee-McIntyre.com on a steady course.

One of my goals for the year is to develop the best customer support around which is why I’m investing the time here. From Monday our support time will be slashed, and the week later we’ll be installing ‘live support’ on our site too so you can get answers fast.

b) Full time programmer/webmaster based in the Ukraine

I spend far too long wrestling with scripts, html, and the like, which is why I wished I had hired a full time programmer a long time ago.

He’ll be doing a mixture of daily process work and long term project work, and I’m certain he’ll add real value to the business.

c) USA based project manager

I’ve hired someone to oversee some test projects involving niche blogs, and I’ll be sharing this with the members at Standing Start Profits in a few days

D) Full time link builder in India

As my Interns will know, I have more than 30 systems created that involve traffic generation. These are plug and play video processes that can be executed by anyone, and then the traffic floods in.

My link builder in India will be following these processes daily, and will be responsible for driving traffic in this way.

And I’m still looking for…

E) Full time affiliate manager

I’m very much in need of a full time affiliate manager, and I’ll be stepping up my search in the next day or so.

You’ll notice that I’ve opted to build a remote team, rather than the local team I’ve previously hinted at. This is the first part of my expansion, and when I hit my next target I’ll be sourcing a local office and full time local administrator.

I’m no longer happy with $20,000+ months, which is why I’m going to push hard over the coming weeks to hit my next target.

Will it be easy? Of course not!

I’m expecting there to be MANY bumps in the road but ‘if you don’t shoot you don’t score’.

It would be easy to continue working hard, and to continue enjoying an amazing lifestyle, and to never have to worry about money again.

Standing still doesn’t interest me however, and I don’t think it ever will.

The next few months promise to be an interesting journey as I enter the next phase of my business. One thing you can be sure of is that I’ll share all with you as we enjoy the ride together..
